Can you smell the hotcakes, El Monte?
In El Monte last Thursday, January 18, the NORMS team grabbed their shovels and hosted a groundbreaking to commemorate the new NORMS Restaurant location coming this summer. The celebration of the soon-to-be 18th NORMS location saw attendance in the dozens, including El Monte Mayor Andre Quintero, Councilman Juventino J. Gomez, Councilwoman Norma Macias, Councilwoman Victoria Martinez, and Councilman Jerry Velasco. Learn more about El Monte here.
Much like NORMS, the city of El Monte was chosen for our new location because of its close connections to family and community. The 6,800 square-foot restaurant will accommodate over 200 people and create 100-plus jobs, with priority given to city residents.
To preserve our 70-year-old heritage, the new location will once again embrace Googie architecture with an iconic NORMS sawtooth sign.
Stay tuned as this is only the beginning: Before the end of 2018, we plan to open two more locations in Carson and Inglewood!
